Opening Wetherby House Montessori has been the culmination of a life-long dream. My passion for childcare started in my teen years, when my own journey as an educator began. Over the years, my experience and understanding of children and early education has grown to allow me facilitate the very best for the children in my setting. I aim to continue my growth and learning as a practitioner and learn from the children every day!

I have been with Wetherby House since its inception in 2012, having gained my Montessori Diploma, for children aged three to six, in South Africa in 2009. I have subsequently completed Montessori training for children up to the age of three. I am currently Regional Manager, utilising my skills to quality assess all of the Wetherby House settings. I am also Safeguarding lead for the settings, ensuring that all of our children are safe.

Teaching is my first love and to be around children is one of my greatest joys. I started teaching 25 years ago and tried other careers over the years but my heart keeps on driving me back to what I truly love most. Having this passion, years of experience, as well as my bachelor’s degree in secondary education, master’s degree in teaching, as well as the Montessori training and qualification that I completed, I believe that I will be able to deliver and perform my roles and responsibilities as Deputy Manager to a high standard. Being a part of Wetherby House Montessori is a privilege and a great opportunity that I will always treasure.
